Buttoned Knit Maxi Dress — Ana Lik

The Ana Lik dress is a long ribbed-knit dress, buttoned all the way down. The bodice follows the line of the body, the skirt flares from the hips and the hem reaches the ankle. It works at the office as well as at a summer lunch without having to change register.

The detail that makes the dress is the row of small round gold buttons running from the neck to the bottom of the skirt. The last few can be left open if you like: the resulting slit frees your stride. Two flap pockets sit at the hip, each closed with a matching button.

The neckline is round, edged with a rib, and the dress is sleeveless — wide armholes, covered shoulders. The knit is distinctly ribbed on the bodice and smoother on the skirt, which gives drape without adding volume.

A word on colours: the photos show the white, whose shade leans towards ecru depending on the light. The blue comes in the same cut and sizes, but we do not have a photo of it yet. We would rather say so here than let you discover it when you open the parcel.

Sizes

These are the measurements provided by the workshop. They are garment measurements taken flat and unstretched, not body measurements: in a ribbed knit, the difference when worn is significant.

Material and care

Polyester knit. Hand wash in cold water, dry flat in the shade: laid flat, the knit does not stretch under the weight of the water. No tumble dryer.
